DeArmond’s Fishing Report
We had a new record number of attendees to Becker's farm on Thursday, the 12th of October. Tom counted 14 of us as he grilled giant hotdogs on his deck. The fishing was uncharacteristically not really good. But I attribute this to the annual Fall lake turnover where the surface water temperature drops, and then finally "turns over" with the warm water that is down along the bottom. With the combination of the lake turnover was the recent rain that caused the water conditions to be cloudy with lots of tiny debris in a lake that is normally crystal clear. The crappie were just uncooperative. Jim Weible and family did clean out close to two dozen small bass. My son Dan DeArmond caught six that were a combination of bluegill and bass with one crappie. I managed to only keep two bass. This made a nice meal for the Dan DeArmond family and Cliff Johnson took home several in a ziploc bag. A good time was had by all despite the high wind. The temperature was warm and the lake and surroundings were beautiful. THANK YOU Tom for inviting us.

p.s. After a day's fishing like this I needed a life saver.
